Work Study Program, Student JobThe federal work-study program provides employment to students, allowing them to earn money to help pay education fees and expenses. Work-Study Programs are available to undergraduate and graduate students with financial need and are available through participating colleges and university’s financial aid office. The work can be on or off campus and is usually community service oriented or in the student’s field of study. You get paid just like a regular job and are usually issued a check directly from your college or university. There are many benefits to this type of program. You get valuable hands on experience and learn new skills that you can put on your resume. In addition to these, you get to interact with different social groups and form relationships. For more information on the federal work-study program application deadline and details and other financial aid programs, check with your school’s financial aid office or click here for more general information about this program.

Hi I did this program last year and it really helped me financially. I greatly recommend it for anyone squeezed to pay college. I did 2 different jobs, one was not too interesting (it was office work and I’m an art student!) but the 2nd one was great. I worked with kids and teaches them a little bit of art. It provided me with some work experience and most of all money!
