HUD offers the Housing Choice Voucher for first time home buyers.

• – The Housing Choice Voucher Program can help first-time home buyers meet their monthly mortgage as well as other home-ownership expenses.
• – To obtain additional information about this program contact your local Public Housing Agency (PHA) for a list of PHA’s that participate in this program. If you are renting and currently a participant in the Housing Choice Voucher program and receive rental assistance, you can use your voucher to buy a home and receive monthly assistance in meeting home ownership expenses? Keep in mind you must meet income and other eligibility requirements.
