Thurgood Marshall College Fund

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund provides scholarships, leadership training, and other support. It is the only  organization in the United States founded for the purpose of providing scholarships to students attending Historically Black Public Colleges and Universities. TMCF along with their 47 participating colleges and universities, 6 law schools help prepare students for graduate and professional school. There is a wide variety of scholarships available for students.

Eligibility Requirements for TMCF Scholarships:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in any discipline at one of the 47 participating schools
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence and community service with a minimum high school g.p.a. of 3.0
  • Must demonstrate financial need and maintain a g.p.a. of at least 3.0 throughout the duration of the scholarship
  • Must have a combined verbal/math score of 1650 or more on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or a score of 25 or higher on the American College Testing (ACT) exam
  • Must be recognized by their high school as being an outstanding student academically and in the creative and performing arts
