I am a single soon to be 60 year old female. My home is surrounded by a lot of trees that has all but destroyed the roof to my house and my screen porch. I believe these trees are extremely dangerous one that was struck by lightning less than 50 feet from my bedroom may fall any time. I know this is an unusual request but hurricane season is a few days away and i am scared that my house will not survive.

I have red the 12 reviews posted and I believe I fall in a similar situation. In June 2009, my eldest daughter died from complications of colon cancer. For two years, I provided caregiving responsibilities. In November 2009, my husband suffered a fatal heart attack. He did not have insurnce for me and I m left with just my social security benefits which does not even cover the cost of mortgage — my one other daughter is helping me with that. In the meantime, my kitchen floors need to be redone; the flushing also in the kitchen needs to be done. Our main bathroom needs the bathtub/shower rredone and in a second 1/2 bath, I need the sink replaced. Since all these, I have declared bankruptcy due to the credit card bills I incurred owing Ot ngdahgbter’s illness (she was single with no medical insurance and we attempted alternative treatments as well. I live in a very good neighborhood and like eo have the house in prime condition nd ready to sell if anything should happen to me. In the meantime, I am going blind and have suffered a mild heart attack. Thank you for your attention.

My home needs help in side and out. My plumbing is bad, Holes in walls and ceiling, No flooring in all rooms, (2) Bathtubs are down in floor and are messed up, Kitchen is very junky, Electical wire problems, My backyard looks like a jungle ,Drive way and side walk has mauve/pink paint chipping off, And I have termites. Have no money,bad credit,house was over priced. termites

We live in Kansas City, KS. Our house is old and needs major repairs. My husband is self-employed as an electrician and is a diabetic. I work full-time and have tried to fix the house, but we are just to far behind to fix major things. For example, our house needs a new roof, our ceiling in the living room has fallen because of the leak on the roof. We have water stains all over the house on the ceiling. Our plumbing is bad too. We have been without a furnance for over 5 years, we can’t afford a new one, our water heater leaks. We were recently given a furnace and will have it installed soon. We have bought some of the shingles for the roof, but can’t afford to buy the rest or hire the roofer at this time. We added a garage to the house, since we were ordered by the court to tear down the old one and build a new one. Well the garage is built, I had to refinance the house, but have no money to put a door, siding or sheetrock the inside. Our driveway needs to be redone, the asphalt has broken off on some places, our windows are not energy efficient, we do not have storm windows, only single pane windows and our wooden floors are a mess. The floors need to be redone, they are awful. We do not have gutters anymore or awnings. We had to cut a tree in order to build the garage and it knocked off the smaller roof over the front door, so now it is without a roof. SIGH SIGH SIGH.. our house needs major repairs and I just don’t know where to begin. We need a home improvement grant desperately, I don’t want to have the worse house in the neighborhood and have The City Code Violations again, and have to go to court again. I have tried to figure out a way to save money, to prioritize, but I just don’t know how to anymore. A grant would be wonderful and would give me the jump start I need. I have to decide soon IF I am going to abandon my house, you see, I have a rodent problem now. I REALLY need a grant and I just don’t know how to go about it. Please help us.
