Almost all cities and counties provide direct grants and/or financial help to repair your house.

If they are not directly providing such help, many local organizations such as State Housing Authorities, Community Housing Action Groups and your local Habitat for Humanity branch can provide financial help.

Since every city, county and organization has varying requirements we suggest you contact the closest local organizations to gain complete details on their programs, their requirements and receive updated information.

Use this link to find your closest Home Repair Organization, start by selecting your state then your closest city or organization.

I live in LaGrange, Georgia. My home is an older house. The house is sound, but the plumbing and electrical is badly in need of upgrading, it will not pass city codes. I cannot afford to make these changes. I need a home improvement grant. Thank you.

We live in Quintown, Alabama. We live in a very old house. The roof needs repair and roofing, bathroom floor falling in,
house is not level in places. We are elderly and on a fixed income. I, Imogene had surgery in August which has gone the wrong direction and left me somewhat handicapped in many ways, my husband 79 yrs. old has had three heart attacks. We cannot afford to do the repairs needed to our home. We need a home improvement grant desperately. Thank you so much for your help.
