I have put in for a free government money this was a couple of months ago and still have not recieved it . Is there a reason for this? Should it take this long or is it a stall tatic please send me my booklet so I can get going on this would appreciate your help

dear michael E. couldyou please tell me where you applied fo this as i am also trying to go through this process and would like to know the site you went to so as i do not make the same mistake andwaste my time on these phoney businesses. i need real help as you do and i do not want to go through all that only to be denied as you were. so if you could please e-mail me with the name of the company you were denied by. my family would really appeciat it. thank you lisa wright lwright19acomcast.net

I’m sorry you were denied; but I noticed you didn’t mention why THEY said you were denied; I’m guessing you make too much money…which, granted, probably isn’t enough. There’s not much more stressful than a leaking roof; I know; been there done that. Roof’s leak, regardless of race. May I suggest you see if there’s some people in your church or some buddies who would come over and help you do the work; then you’re just out the materials. Believe me, I know it’s tough these days, but don’t belittle yourself to play the ‘race card’ just because someone told you ‘no’. Have some dignity soldier. Look around. Find someone with a bigger ‘need’ than yours, and help them. It’s good to get your mind off yourself, but you’ll also find that the Lord will bring someone around to help you. And, in the meantime, there are temporary measures you can take to protect your home from the rain that aren’t as expensive as the new roof will be. I actually had to climb up on mine and do a ‘temp’ fix myself…and I’m, of all things…a WOMAN!!!

It doesn’t cost $5000 to repair a roof. Shop around more. Plus if you feel you were discriminated for being black then don’t check off your minority status.

Here’s a “REVIEW” you’ll never POST! All I requested was help getting a hole in my roof fixed. I am an American and I am “retired.” I am a military veteran and served my country in the US Army in 1969 during Vietnam. I was employed as a Detroit Police Officer and Wayne County Sheriff Deputy with 30 years service. I raised 4 children and sent them all to college… so you know “I HAVE PAID A LOT OF TAXES.” I AM NOT an illegal alien, nor am I in America on a “VISA” “GREEN CARD” or waiting to become an American citizen! I have never been arrested as a juvenile OR as an adult, I have no prison record or ever been a convict… otherwise I would not have been able to serve my country or beome a policeman… did I mention that I was “BLACK!”… forgive me, because I grew up in a country that didn’t treat me fairly at the voting polls until 1965! I HAVE PAID MY DUES to AMERICA. Today is Saturday, August 8, 2009 and it is raining like “HELL” in Detroit. (did I already mention that I have a hole in my roof?) I applied for and was denied $5000 in “housing grant funds” to do home repairs in a house that was sold to me “WITH A HOLE IN THE ROOF!” (yes I already went through the legal process… and guess what happened there!) It is well known and not hidden that when ANY foreign person ILLEGALLY enters this country, they are given assistance IMMEDIATELY…with “NO” questions asked and we all know that “THEY” are only STEALING (MY TAX MONIES)from the U.S. Government. (I told you that I have been a “cop” for 30 years and I have witnessed this firsthand) I, however, am a REAL American and have payed thousands in TAXES to the government, but I am “NOT QUALIFIED” and can’t get a fucking “GRANT” to fix a hole in my roof! What “race” do I have to be NOW, in order to “qualify” for a GOVERNMENT grant, because being “BLACK” is no longer popular… but was good enough to serve my country during the war! Are you just one big scam or are you really working for GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE? …by the way, it is “still” raining in Detroit.
